COURSE DESCRIPTION

A study of Boston's

Revolutionary War History  

The workshop includes tours and

re-enactments for teachers to immerse themselves into the curriculum.  Major topics include

the Boston pre war political climate, Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party & the Battle of Bunker Hill.

 

PREREQUISITE READING

"Paul Revere's Ride" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Selected passages from the Boston Massacre trial transcripts will be assigned in the syllabus.

 Two books from Dr. Robert J. Allison's historic series titled, New England Remembers.  These books are an excellent source of information about the events preceding and subsequent to The Boston Massacre & The Boston Tea Party.
